This was a huge honor for Cruz Ortiz. This collaboration with Absolut Vodka wouldn't have happened without the creative direction from our homies in Austin, GUERRILLA SUIT. Absolut Vodka chose Cruz Ortiz as the artist to represent the entire great state of TEXAS. The design is based on the cosmic connections Texas has, from rockets shooting into space out of Houston to the flickering and strange mystery lights in Marfa.
This event started as a humble gathering in 1910 and has grown to be the heartbeat of Fiesta with over 70,000 patrons and more than 7,000 volunteers. We were super excited to get the opportunity to fully redesign this iconic event’s branding. We tried to highlight everything that makes Oyster Bake a PURO SAN ANTONIO event. To us this meant bright colors, amazing food, live music, rides, dance parties, and of course oysters. We designed an entire identity system to organize the different types of volunteers and VIP guests. Our design efforts helped increase the sales and amount of scholarship money Oyster Bake was able to collect for the students at St. Mary’s University.
GO BETO GO!!! We are super proud to be able to design for his campaign. As Beto has traveled across Texas, we have been there energizing the crowd with various activations including live screen printing. We even decked out his campaign ambassadors with official gear to help them get people pumped about Beto. He is what Texas needs and we are going to do what we can to help him get to the U.S. Senate.
NCAA Final Four was crazy!!! We designed an installation to greet visitors that were coming into view the Final Four hosted by San Antonio. We decked out the airport from top to bottom promoting good sportsmanship, competitiveness, and spirit of San Antonio.
We were super excited to create the branding and marketing elements for the 2017 World Heritage Festival. This was a major undertaking that required a number of design elements including a logo, marketing collateral, posters, t-shirts, interactive passports, signage, social media, website design, and much more. We used cutting edge marketing tactics to promote this festival. We also designed the branding and marketing elements for the 2016 campaign as well.
RAICES is just one of the amazing organizations we have had the honor of working with over the past year. They are the largest immigration legal services provider in Texas. We provided them a number of designs for their team as they worked relentlessly to aid the children separated from their families at the border. They have taken this fight to the White House and are willing to do what it takes to reunite these families.
We were pumped to create a visual identity for the Lorenzo Gomez’s best seller the Cilantro Diaries. This business book takes an honest look at his career thus far and offers a fresh perspective to being a successful entrepreneur in today’s hyper competitive world. We designed not only the book cover but also the stickers, book marks, and even his powerpoint presentation. We made sure that the designs were just as powerful as the message as he went across the country to inspire the next generation.
We are designing the branding for the 2017 Southside Chamber of Commerce Gala. This included the logo, invitation, social media initiatives, live screen printing, and giveaways.
We were excited to design this magazine cover for Texas Highways as part of San Antonio's Tricitennial. This design is meant to honor the city's past, celebrate the present and embrace the future. -- VIVA SAN ANTONIO!!
We were super excited to work with Texas Monthly for their "Cook Like a Texan" event at the historic Pearl Brewery in San Antonio, Texas. We designed and produced the custom napkins, event posters, and other various deliverables. The night of the event we activated the space with live screen printing and pop up. Cruz Ortiz Art was also represented with a mobile art gallery and live painting by El Jefe -- Cruz Ortiz.
We were given the opportunity to redesign the event that has been historically referred to as the EPICENTER OF FIESTA! Fiesta De Los Reyes is a 10 day event that takes over La Villita and turns the middle of downtown San Anto into a nonstop party. By using the sun and moon throughout the festival, we highlighted the endless spirit of Fiesta. The crown is a visual reminder that this is the must go to event of the Fiesta season. FDLR is a culturally rich celebration featuring live performances and delicious cuisine. Party hard for a cause! We used cutting edge marketing tactics to promote this festival. It was truly an honor to be part of the Epicenter of Fiesta. VIVA FIESTA!!!
We designed the menu for the Esquire Tavern Downstairs in San Antonio, Texas.
We designed a poster for the VIP guests for the Texas Monthly 8th Annual BBQ Fest in Austin, Texas. It was also available in the official Texas Monthly store.
Branding and Marketing super projects for San Antonio's hippest downtown development, THE PEARL BREWERY. One major project has been the Echale Latino Music Estyles outdoor concert series. Which brings in cutting edge Latino Musicians from all over the Americas. This project is apart of another amazing collaboration with PR powerhouse GIANT NOISE.
These folks are hilarious--- we love clients with crazy big ideas - so when someone asks us to make work that reflects SAN ANTONIO we immediately think mariachis and tacos - but we wanted to go beyond that hacienda - we think of san antonio as one of the great metropolitan epicenters of TEXAS - SAN ANTONIO is truly a city on the rise - so the design strategy was to create illustrations for progress and change - but in a very SAN ANTO way ----ITS GRITO TIME!!!!!!!!!!!
